Great Barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda )The body is elongated and slightly cylindrical. The snout is long and pointed, and the lower jaw is prominent. The teeth are numerous and canine-shaped. There are two dorsal fins, clearly separated. The coloring ranges from greyish to greenish-brown on the back, while the sides and the belly are silvery. The adults have irregular dark spots along their sides near the caudal fin. This species attains a length of 1.5 to 1.8 meters. |
